Welcome to Eco Family News (EFN), a free e-newsletter based on the principals of Whole Children, Whole Planet (WCWP) - the first natural parenting and family expo - and is about raising healthy children in a safe, natural, non-toxic, nurturing environment. Our goal is to introduce and offer families, friends, and professionals a comprehensive resource and overview of products, companies, organizations, sustainable practices and enrichment learning programs that support healthy sustainable lifestyles for both children, and adults – mind, body and spirit. Our mission is to empower and educate our children, their caregivers, and the caregivers of the earth. We want to address a need in our society for guidance and education for creating more balanced lifestyles, and provide people with the tools they need to make informed decisions. There are many facets to learning about conscious, healthy, creative parenting, as well as conscious consumerism. There really isn't one simple handbook that will give guidance, yet it is crucial that we have a clear understanding of what is available to us in all areas of respectful living. Unfortunately, with the popularity of today's "Green" movement, also comes a barrage of products or services that don't really make the grade - sustainable want-to-be's, who are considered to be greenwash. EFN strives to be a respected, reliable resource for consumers and families to support true healthy and sustainable lifestyles. Eco Family News is designed for informational purposes only. There are no paid features in the e-newsletter. To be eligible to be featured in EFN, applicants must meet a specific criteria, and be in alignment with our philosophy. All those featured in EFN have been evaluated by our committee of experts, and currently meet these requirements. They are being featured because we believe they are authentic in their vision, mission, and/or are truly sustainable.
